With 25+ years of international consulting experience in Big4 across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, Cristina de Torres is a highly respected Board Advisor, Board Member, and capital markets specialist. Her career spans international roles in some of the world’s largest professional services firms, culminating in her position as a Partner at PwC Middle East, where she led major governance, transformation, and capital markets projects across the region, mainly in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates where she is working in since 2010.

Cristina has built one of the most extensive global track records in IPO readiness, governance, and capital markets advisory with a combination of regional and international listings. She has supported companies through the full listing lifecycle, covering equity and debt issuances across leading regional exchanges such as Tadawul, Nomu, DFM, OMX, QSE, and EGX, as well as major global markets including London, Ireland, New York and Spain. 

Her transformation work in the Middle East is equally significant. Cristina has delivered large‑scale programmes for semi‑government entities, private companies, family businesses, and high‑growth organisations, shaping governance frameworks, strengthening control environments, and preparing organisations for investor‑grade performance. Her portfolio includes some of the most complex and high‑impact projects in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

During her career break from consulting, Cristina served as Chief Investor and Risk Officer at a major Abu Dhabi holding company, where she led the group’s transformation and capital markets readiness agenda. This executive experience enriched her advisory perspective, giving her first‑hand insight into the realities of corporate leadership, investor relations, and risk governance.

Cristina holds a double bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics and Law from Comillas University (Spain), and an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School (Spain). She is a certified Non‑Executive Director (Level 7, Diploma, UK), a certified Investor Relations Officer (MEIRA), and a co-author on family businesses and IPOs.
